Baking Cocoa vs Raw Cacao?

Whats the difference between the two you ask, A LOT is different. Besides the spelling and pronunciation, Raw Cacao has some amazing health benefits but the other does not.

Cacao refers to the Theobroma Cacao tree from which Cocoa is derived, and is used when referring to unprocessed versions of the cacao bean. Normal cocoa powder & chocolate have been chemically processed and roasted, which destroys a large amount of the antioxidants and flavanols. My favorite brand of Raw Cacao (pronounced CU-COW) can be found here on Amazon. There are lots of brands that are great just make sure you buy actual Raw Cacao for the benefits.
